The theatre has always been a place for our community to come together, to laugh, to cry, to share.

On Friday, March 13 the inevitable impact of the Coronavirus reached Nova Scotia and we were forced to make the difficult decision to close the shows in the remainder of our 2019/2020 season.

The show must go on, and will go on, but we need your help. Because we are more reliant on ticket sales and less on outside funding – we are left vulnerable. With bills to pay and no shows on stage, we are quickly depleting the money needed to get shows back on our stages. Your donation will help us withstand this difficult time.

Our commitment is to support our theatre community, employees, and to ensure that Neptune Theatre presents our 2020/2021 season.

Our 2020/2021 season theme is Dream It. Be It. We are working on presenting you with the delightful season of theatre we have planned. We are looking forward to opening our doors, to welcoming you back to Neptune very soon.

Your support ensures Neptune Theatre will continue to create memorable theatre experiences for all Nova Scotians.

Here are some examples of how your donation makes a difference:
  • $100 pays for props in a scene of a play – Your donation sets the stage
  • $500 pays for costumes for an actor in a show - Your donation brings characters to life
  • $1000 pays for one actor for a week in Billy Elliot – Every week, they will dance for eight shows, that's 20 hours for 3500 people.
  • $5000 pays for a lighting designer for a Scotiabank Stage production - by providing employment to theatre artists you are lighting the way.

Neptune Theatre can now take e-transfers of your donation. Just go to your online banking service and choose the e-transfer option.
Choose the amount you wish to donate, send it and we will send you a tax receipt (receipts available for donations $20 and up).
**In your message, please include your email address, mailing address, and how you would like your name to appear in our programs (donations $100 and up will be listed in our programs for 1 year from the donation date).
